Cecile Abeille joined The Estée Lauder Companies in October 2005 as the Executive Director of International Communications for La Mer. She oversees La Mer's strategic communication messaging, product and event outreach and all initiatives tied to the brand for over 58 international markets with over 30 PR Managers all over Asia, Europe, Middle East, South Africa and the brands Travel Retail PR. She created the 1st International Society for the Estee Lauder Companies (ELC) – a group of 26 ELC International PR Executives who meet monthly to share best practices and resources, promoting integration within the company. Before joining The Estée Lauder Companies, she ran her own marketing and public relations company in Washington, D.C. called Logique PR growing the presence of Lavazza coffee in the US and fusing strategic collaborations between for profit and non-profit companies. Prior to establishing her own company, Cecile also worked for many years as the Director of Public Relations for Saks Fifth Avenue launching the first Armani cosmetic department and solidifying corporate relationships with The Ritz Carlton Group and Mercedes Benz. Before her tenure at Saks, Cecile was the Public Relations Manager at Neiman Marcus. Along with many celebrity visits and designer personal appearances such as Oscar de La Renta, Ralph Rucci, Chantecaille and Laura Mercier she organized large scale fashion shows in the DC area. While in DC, she was an Executive Board Member and Publicity Chair for Fashion Group International for three years. Some of many events she organized at Neiman Marcus was a city wide Breast Cancer Research Foundation Pink Illumination Benefit working closely with The Estée Lauder Companies. In addition to being an active member in the Cosmetic Women's Association, the Luxury Marketing Council and the Asia Society, She just completed the Innovating for Excellence, Leadership and Working in China course at The Estée Lauder Companies University. Involved in her community, she has been on the young variety board since Fall 2008 and continues her support for Memorial Sloan-Kettering and Second Chance based in NY & DC, where she was a Committee Member. She lives in New York City but travels extensively abroad for work and pleasure.
