As Vice President of Development for OneLouder Productions, a television production company at MTV, Amanda Klein is responsible for overseeing the development of unscripted and scripted television shows. In 2007, Klein served as an independent Production Consultant for the Branded Entertainment Group at Ogilvy & Mather, Klein was responsible for bringing Ogilvy clients strategic programming concepts and entertainment ideas designed to break through the cluttered media landscape, all to bring their clients new avenues to reach their consumers. Prior to Ogilvy, Klein was Vice President at Gavin Polone's Pariah overseeing the film development and production for the company while identifying key projects and opportunities in television. Klein was recruited by Pariah after establishing and serving as one of the principal officers of Primal Pictures where she produced an independent horror film, REEKER, which premiered at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival and was distributed by Paramount/Showtime. Klein began her career in Acquisitions for companies like October Film and Miramax Films where she was responsible for buying prestigious independent and foreign films including Won Kar Wai's IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE, Mira Nair's MONSOON WEDDING, and a feature length documentary about the life of legendary Hollywood producer, Robert Evans, produced by the Editor of Vanity Fair, Graydon Carter, THE KID STAYS IN THE PICTURE. Klein was named one of the thirty most powerful women in their "30 under 30" by Women's Day Magazine in 2000.
