The Open Your Heart event at Marquee was held on February 11th, 2009 right before Valentine's Day. Swanky venue Marquee was the perfect location for the gathering with it's sophisticated and sleek appeal that gave a juxtaposing intimate feeling to the high energy crowd.

Over 300 very generous Young Variety supporters warmly welcomed the cool nights of winter, bringing in over $10,000 in donations, all the while enjoying complimentary cocktails from Marani Vodka and dancing the night away to the tunes of New York's highly sought after DJ Mel.

Highlights of the night included a silent auction that featured sports memorabilia, such as Roger Federer signed tennis shoes and a Kobe Bryant autographed basketball, raffles and door prizes.

Crowned by the New York Post as "the hottest nightclub in the known universe" Marquee opened its doors to Young Variety and their supporters.

Complimentary cocktails sponsored by Marani Vodka added to the already high spirits of the evening.

Raffle prizes of the evening included a "For Your Valentine" gift basket containing a certificate to Marchi's Restaurant for dinner for two, a Magnum of Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2007, and a Blume Girl intimates gift bag.

Marani vodka complimentary cocktails were enjoyed by over 300 Young Variety supporters.

Auction items included signed sports memorabilia such as Roger Federer's tennis shoes, as well as items like a Colorado Ski Weekend, Spa days, and Designer Handbags.

Spirits were poured and spirits soared throughout the evening.
