Variety New York has been helping children for over 60 years, and it all started with volunteers. At the heart of Variety of New York's remarkable achievements are the contributions of people within the community and it is only thorough your time and efforts that we are able to do so much for special children everywhere. Not only can it be rewarding but it can also be fun. Volunteering can be one of the most rewarding experiences that you can undertake.

DID YOU KNOW THAT:

1. Approximately 109 million American adults volunteer annually - that's 56% of all adults.
2. 3.5 hours per week are contributed to non-profit organizations by volunteers.
3. 59% of teenagers volunteer an average of 3.5 hours per week.

Variety has ongoing needs for volunteers to assist our staff and children in many areas. You can offer your skills as an individual or as a group.

Consider allowing your talents to shine in some of the following areas:

• Office/clerical help (copying, filing, mailings, special projects).
• Holiday Party (assist with set ups, take downs, checking in attendees, be a server or seater, face painting, assist with food prep, etc).
• Securing auction and raffle items for our events.
• Radiothon (assist with phone bank, tallying, office help, etc).
• Professional services (photography, writers, public relations, graphic designers etc.).
