Sunshine Coach Program

Through the generous support of the Ford Motor Company, Variety the Children's Charity's Sunshine Coach Program provides much needed passenger vans to worthy children's organizations around the globe. These coaches enable children to "venture into the sunshine," allowing them to visit horizons they have only imagined. The vans, which can be specially equipped for handicapped children, are used to transport children to therapy, treatment, special events and enrichment programs. Since its inception 40 years ago, the Sunshine Coach Program has helped more than 55 million children.

"Being part of the Sunshine Coach program has been a blessing for us here at the Variety Boys & Girls Club. The Sunshine Coach has allowed us to expand our programs. It gives us the opportunity to take our members on more field trips. Also, we are able to take our sports teams to different venues to play. This gives them the opportunity to go to different places as well as meeting new people. We also use the van to pick up donations that we receive. This is an enormous benefit of the van because without we would have to turn away most donations. We appreciate having our Sunshine Coach everyday!"
