GRANTS

Variety the Children’s Charity of New York was founded sixty years ago to seek out and fund organizations that serve disadvantaged and physically challenged children in the tri-state area. We support grassroots, community based organizations that work to positively impact children so as to both provide these children with a better future and to strengthen the communities in which they reside. For the past six decades Variety has created opportunities and hope for children through supporting various initiatives including care and assistance for children who are physically challenged, state of the art medical facilities for children suffering from life-threatening diseases, innovative educational programs and opportunities to explore extracurricular activities. Variety the Children’s Charity of New York recognizes the importance of a holistic approach to serving children, as a result we adopted three grant categories: Education, Health and Play.

MOBILITY PROGRAM

In addition to our grant-making we also have a mobility program.  We provide mobility equipment for children who have a great need for the equipment and whose insurance does not cover it.  Our mobility program is part of Variety the Children’s Charity’s nationally recognized mobility program in thirty states across the country.
