The Association to Benefit Children is an organization that is dedicated to helping disadvantaged children and their families through services designed to permanently break the cycles of abuse, neglect, sickness, and homelessness.  Their early childhood centers include Cassidy’s Place, Merricat’s Castle School, The Jamie Rose/Keith Haring School, Echo Park, and Variety Cody Gifford House. The Adaptive Sports Foundation is the largest adaptive sports program on the East Coast and considered amongst the top adaptive programs in the country.  ASF offers both winter and summer sports to a wide range of special needs children.  Participation in sports gives the disabled individual increased self worth and self esteem with students often heard saying, “If I can do this, I can do anything.”  Read more...

The National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction is the funding arm of the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at NYU Medical Center.  NFFR addresses the plight of children with facial disfigurement by supporting state-of-the-art treatment, innovative research, psychosocial support and medical training that inspires a new generation of pediatric doctors.  Read more...

Only Make Believe performs interactive theater for disadvantaged and chronically ill children throughout the New York City Metro area.  OMB provides these theatrical workshops, free-of-charge to hospitals and care facilities.  They are dedicated to the principle that freeing a child’s imagination is a valuable part of the healing process.  Read more...
