VARIETY OF NEW YORK EVENTS - HOLIDAY PARTY
Our highly anticipated annual Holiday Party welcomes over 1,000 children from local hospitals, shelters and community organizations. The children gather for a celebration of the season and enjoy a screening of a new movie, tasty food, music, face painting and special performances. In addition, each child receives a new toy.
"I think that the Holiday Party is a fun experience. One lady last year taught us about health, nutrition and fitness. I also liked when the circus came. It was entertaining and funny. I think the Holiday Party gets better and better each year." Over 75 volunteers contribute in making this event a reality each year. Variety the Children's Charity also partners with several New York City building management companies to hold Toy Drives in their buildings on our behalf. WAYS YOU CAN HELP: Volunteer to be a face painter, server, seater, performer, or help us to distribute/sort toys, or host a toy drive in your office or building. Variety the Children's Charity serves children with many different challenges.
For many of these children, this is their only opportunity to enjoy some
of the same holiday experiences we are so fortunate to have for ourselves.
It is up to us to make this a meaningful and memorable experience for children
who need it most. A thirteen-year-old girl from the Variety Boys and Girls
Club of Queens said,
