Jamie Polon, Esq is senior associate at New York City based Jaffe & Asher, LLP a prominent civil practice law firm in midtown Manhattan. Jamie has been with the firm for six (6) years in February 2009, and specializes in debtor/creditor law, working with several of the largest creditors in the world. He has practiced in the fields of intellectual property, real estate and specific transactional matters such as contract negotiations. Mr. Polon is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, Washington, D.C and the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York State. Jamie is seeking admission to the United States Supreme Court in 2009. Jamie has also worked within the entertainment industry prior to his current position. He spent 18 months in the legal department at Pearson Education, the world's largest educational publisher and subsidiary to the Pearson PLC, parent company to the Financial Times. Additionally, Jamie worked as a production assistant for 20th Century Fox Filmed Entertainment "Object of My Affection" with Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd and Warner Bros. as a summer intern in the their New York distribution office; as well several entertainment based public relations firms in Washington, D.C. Jamie obtained his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in 2001 and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Specialization from American University in Washington, D.C in 1998. Jamie currently sits on the Executive Board of the Greater New York Chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America and has served in this capacity since January 2008. Jamie is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York Bar Association and in the past has served on the young professionals committee of the American Cancer Society, Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts; and New York Bar Association of the City of New York-Entertainment Law Division. Jamie currently resides with his wife Emily and their 8 ½ month old daughter Kate on the Upper East Side.
