A native of New York, Fred graduated from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce of the University of Pennsylvania in June 1962, and started his career as a Certified Public Accountant.

Fred joined TDA Industries, Inc., in 1970 and is one of its two fifty (50%) percent owners/shareholders, as well as a director and executive officer of the Company and its subsidiaries. TDA Industries, Inc., through its subsidiaries, has been engaged in the wholesale distribution of roofing materials and related products, floor coverings and accessories, and plumbing, heating, electrical and industrial supplies; the processing and distribution of meat and related food products; and the manufacture, assembly, import and sales of electrical wiring devices, among other businesses; and, through a division and subsidiaries, operates an indoor/outdoor tennis facility and its real estate holdings and investment portfolios.

Fred is active in community and philanthropic activities. He is an active member of the Boards of Trustees of Variety Children's Lifeline, Variety - The Children's Charity (New York), the Natinoal Foundation of Facial Reconstruction, and the Boys and Girls Club of Queens, as well as an officer of these organizations.

Fred and his wife Susan have two daughters and one grandson. They enjoy participating in various cultural activities, skiing, sailing, and playing golf and tennis.
